Oil & Gas are the most extreme circumstances an rubber seal has to work in. Mechanical, thermochemical and fluid phase conditions need to be amended for the safety uses of the seal.
Applications in this industry can often be served by more than one type of elastomer. In the graphic below you can see the traditional elastomers.
Seals for the oil and gas industry can be produced in a wide range of elastomer materials. There are connections available that are used for the oil and gas industry.
The O-rings can ben produced in the hardness 70 shore to 90 shore A. These show a high wear extrusion resistance with low friction.
O-rings are able to meet ISO 3601, AS 568 and other recognized standards. There are also other special sizes available.
